PROVENANCE

POET is a solo-led music and visual art project created and directed by Aiden Shaw.

The project grew through records, music videos, national touring and years of collaboration. It now moves forward with Aiden as its only permanent core member and final creative decision-maker, bringing in musicians, producers, filmmakers and other collaborators when the work calls for them.

The music is not being rebuilt around a fixed genre. Alternative rock, post-hardcore, metalcore, pop-punk and emo remain part of the lineage, while newer work can move through modern alternative, electronic, pop, shoegaze, dream-pop, trip-hop, R&B and heavier textures when the song needs them.

Death Era, Prologue and Nightera remain part of POET history. Pallid Bloom is a bridge release, not a permanent definition of what comes next. The current period is intentionally unnamed.

THE WORK CONTINUES.

POET is being built around stronger songs, a broader visual language, direct fan relationships and enough independence to choose the right collaborators and opportunities without surrendering the center of the work.
